Yes, this was a breakthrough season that was widely unanticipated – and one that will be long remembered. It is bizarre how MU dominated the common opponents they had with OU compared to how the Sooners fared in those matchups, but yet Oklahoma is suited to beat Missouri when they meet. An agonizing experience, but OU played well and Missouri’s poor game plan was not flexible enough to allow a second-half run. That last punt is something I consider inexcusable, but I suppose that matters little. Championship gone. Heisman gone. BCS Bowl gone. But those memories at Arrowhead are not gone and will only grow greater as my life progresses. Damn those Sooners. Though I still love Billy Sims and Marcus Dupree.
